Funtastic II was founded in 2005 under the leadership of Monica Perez and Stacey Cedeno. In 2005 their first presentation in the small band category was “Treasures of Atlantis.†In 2006, the band won the small band of the year title with their presentation of “Color Explosionâ€. In 2007, the band hit the road with a very innovative presentation of “A Taste of the Islandsâ€.
Funtastic II continues to be a small band with big passion for promoting the West Indian culture and has a big emphasis on FUN. The young band members of Funtastic II are known for having the most fun on Carnival Sunday.
Working out of their backyard in Bedford Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, the band leaders of Funtastic II always strive to be better than the previous year. Always all inclusive, both kids and parents have quite a unique and unforgettable experience.
All costumes are designed and made by Monica Perez and her two daughters Stacey and Tracey.
