Today I received an update in regards to the wee wee truck situation for Trinidad's carnival. See below for more details... 1. The wee wee trucks are illegal because the Licensing Authority only approves music trucks to accompany the band. (i.e. all the other trucks are illegal too: food, cool down, rest truck, floats, etc) 2. The Ministry personnel said that complaints were received that some truck were not well maintained and left a stench that upset the masqueraders of the other bands behind it, as well as the food vendors at the roadside and spectators. 3. With only THREE months left until Carnival, there has been some speculation about Machel taking time off, a Carnival Center to be built, promoters not being able to throw parties, bands not selling as fast as they thought etc. WHATS REALLY GOING ON???? So the result is we still dont have a stage, is Machel going to release any music for next year?, where are we going to party now? and will the price of costumes decrease because they are not selling as fast as they should? What are your thought?...

Antilia Carnival brought the spirit of Trinidad's Carnival to New York City November 5, 2009. Carnival lovers in New York City got a chance to experience Trinidad mas.
