Here is Our Editor’s Pick for Trinidad Carnival 2010! Now although there were alot of Terrible Costumes, and Great Costumes, Here are the one’s that will most likely do well on the road.

Every costume has a special meaning to it. these costumes are more cultural than just a bra and panty, but if I were to play mas, I I would play in all sections!

Ummm…Not really sure what a clown has to do with Carnival. Someone correct me if Im wrong. If I were to play with this band, I would be the Dj!

If this was the last band to play with, I would play with Mystical Emerald.

Loving Comancheros, Hawk (minus the wings), and Zulu. Alot of their costumes look familiar too. hmmmm

Not a big fan of their costumes but Jurassic Amber is cool.

Desert Rays VVIP and Midnight Velvet. Goshank Hawk and Golden Oriole are nice! and I was almost convinced, but when you zoom in, its just so much going on in one costume.

So both Pulse 8 and Glenn Carvalho’s theme is Aloha. Judging from the costumes, Pulse 8 is looking far better. As for Glenn Carvalho, I would pick

HARTS, HARTS AND MORE HARTS. 25 Sections. My God, where do I start from. Loving Total Recall, Life in the Waters, Mexico/The Mayans, Was this Greece/Before 2000, and Oriental Fantasy/Utopia. Whew, lovely costumes!!!

This year Island People didnt sell out as fast as they usually do. Hopes carnival will be worth it this year! As for Island People, I would jump with KALPANA both Frontline costumes A and B! That costume is sick from head to toe! That costume is just to showcase. Dont whine on me when I have on that costume plz and thx!!!!!!!! As for the rest of hte band, I choose Mudra, Priyadarashini (frontline), and Taal (frontline).

When I first saw the costumes, I thought I was on Harts site again. I pick Bush Fire.

Garnet and that is all I have to say about that!

Jaipur Market is nice.

Another band with CULTURE! However, this is a jouvert band. The costumes remind me of Tobago. They are also affordable! I remember seeing these costumes pinned up in Brooklyn last year. They were nice. I would pick L’echo du village, L’echo du Marchandes, and L’echo Bandes de Congo.

Has the cutest costumes for their theme Aloha.Take notes Carvalho! I would pick Hula, Hula, Tahitian black pearl, and Polynesian Luau.

City of Gold, We Kinda of People, Loving Africa!, and Saucy int eh market is cute, fun loving costume.

Oasis’s headpiece is SWEET! I like the colors. I pick Copper, Oil and Moonlight

When I heard the theme, I was curious to see what their costumes were going to look like. I pick Niobe Logos, Merovingian, and Exiles (backline)

Brought out some nice costumes this year with some heavy head pieces! wooiiiiiiiii those ladies better not end up with a stiff neck after Tuesday! While the costumes are FIERCE, the site needs a whole lot of work. I am loving Caspian Sea, Egypt -Wings of Isis, Greece- frontline, Rubies of Mumbai-frontline and THAILAND!

Tribe’s costumes came out nice this year. #1 pick is Mystery of Loulan! Loving Zari, Serica, Charmeuse-frontline, Eri-frontline, Xi Ling Shi, Mulberry, and Oasge. Very well put together! High Five Peter Elias and Gail Cabral!

I like the concept. “Carnivals around the world”. All the costumes are nice in that it shows a reflection of everyone’s carnival. I am loving Mardi Gras New Orleans, and Carnival in Venice, Italy.
