Brazil Samba School Imperatriz won three times in a row (1999, 2000 and 2001) It’s main competitor was Beija-Flor. Its success was traditionally due to its technically excellent performances. The School’s long-time female Carnival Designer, Rosa Magalhães makes idiosyncratic fairy-tale like artistic creations.
