So good news for all those living in the Maryland, D.C.  Area! If you are traveling up to Caribana in Toronto this year, you can do it in a bit of style, no driving and no airline drama. Mj Travel group is back this year for round 2 of their successful Bus ride to Caribana. (Just be sure to walk with your passport!)

Their 2011 Carnibana Bus Tour will leave Friday July 29th to Monday August 1st. You also have the option for pick up from 2 locations, Largo,MD, or Baltimore, MD. The bus will board at 11:30pm on July 28th.

Bus Cost – Round Trip: $180. Thats a pretty good deal cuts out a lot of hassle of driving, renting a car. I looked up plane tickets the other day, and it was going for close to $400.

Caribbean Style Mardi Gras Parade from 1pm
Annual Caribbean Style Mardi Gras Parade, Food, Arts & Crafts Festival.

Annual Carnival Parade, Festival and Music Explosion will be held on
Saturday, October 23, 2010 from 1:00pm to 10:00pm at Metropolitan Park,
downtown Jacksonville, Fl. (across from EVERBANK Stadium). Vending spaces
for Saturday are being sold on a first come first serve basis.

Steel drums, colorful costumes, Caribbean music and outstanding cuisine
highlight the bill during this energetic cultural festival, held downtown.
The revelry kicks off with a spectacular parade at 1:00pm then sashays to
into Metropolitan Park for a day full of great music, food, arts, crafts
and family fun until 10:00pm.
Admission $10.00, Kids under 10 FREE.

So here is one of the coolest bands we’ve seen for Miami Carnival 2010. Pretty much the biggest band going out for Miami, the section One Island Body Paint.  Our costume of choice is Leonopteryx, the Rum Hoes section of One Island Body Paint Band. Remember that giant red bird thing from the movie Avatar?  You get food, drinks, body painting and all the trimmings. Check out the latest pics. With the body painting combined, this is definetely the “it” costume for Miami Carnival 2010.
