Costumes Load Up Already!!!
Costume Distribution has begun in some bands and will be continuing through next Friday 12 February 2010. In most cases uncollected costumes will forfeit deposit and be sold on Saturday 13 February 2010. The majority of bands seem to be also requiring a copy of a valid ID if you are purchasing or collecting a costume from/for a masquerader that is not present. Bacchanal Treasures – Jamaica
Bacchanal Carnival season in Jamaica officially begins on February 5, 2010 with the opening of Bacchanal’s Mas Camp Village on Oxford Road in Kingston. The theme for carnival 2010 is “Bacchanal Treasures”. Each and every Friday night until March 26, the Mas Camp will be the place to be for great vibes and good fun. What is also great news is that ticket prices will be the same as last year, allowing the bacchanal faithful to fete at an affordable price. Hopefully you people out there appreciate all the work that goes into putting up all these photos and costumes, and sections From all These mas bands. It is hard. Ok, Enough venting, part 2 of these costumes include another favorite. It's not light weight like Serica, but there is something about it being so damn blue that is captivating. 2010 is upon us, and Tribe Carnival aims to deliver. Sold out sections, in the first weekend, back orders, trades, all the madness that is included with playing mas with Tribes. Well, here is what all the fuss was about. When we first saw their line up for Trinidad Carnival 2010, the response was Fire Over Chiney Kitchen full stop, and not in the bad way. Mardi Gras in New Orleans, Louisiana is one of the most famous Carnival celebrations in the world. As is the case with many Carnivals, the New Orleans Carnival season has its roots in preparing for the start of the Christian season of Lent. In New Orleans the season consists of parades, balls and king cake parties. Tribe Carnival Launch in New York City
Tribe Mas band from Trinidad Carnival launched in New York City for their 2010 line up. Although there was no registration at the event attendees still enjoyed the costumes and the party. About 8 of the costumes were there but, no there weren't any male or front line costumes. .
