For Trinidad Carnival 2027 (February 8–9), most travellers secure a costume deposit first, then a Port of Spain–area hotel, then flights that cover J’ouvert Monday morning through Tuesday night.

Costume sections can sell out while airfare is still flexible. If you know your band, register first.
Hotel inventory near the Savannah and downtown tightens in January. Pair the carnival's events (Panorama Saturday, Dimanche Gras Sunday, J’ouvert Monday) with your flight nights.

Common questions
How many nights should I stay?
Many visitors arrive Thursday or Friday before Carnival and depart Wednesday after Ash Wednesday. Adjust if you only want road days.
